Vamos aos fatos:
Os vetores são perpendiculares, portanto, o ângulo entre eles é 90º. Logo, ao calcularmos o módulo do vetor soma, utilizaremos o teorema de Pitágoras:
R² = F1² + F2²
Do problema, temos que:
R = 10cm e F1 = 8cm
Logo:
10² = 8² + F2²
100 = 64 + F2² –> F2² = 100 – 64
F2² = 36 –> F2 = raiz(36) –> F2 = 6cm
